Police believe road rage may be behind a two car crash on the F3 Freeway north of Sydney last night (28 July 2013).
Two cars were travelling south on the F3 at Mount Colah.
Police have been told that objects were thrown by the occupants of at least one of the vehicles towards a second car before one of the drivers rammed the other.
One of the vehicles flipped, landing on its roof and trapping a female passenger aged in her 20s. She was later taken to hospital with leg injuries.
The other vehicle continued driving to Gordon Police Station, on Sydney’s upper north shore.
The crash closed two lanes of the Freeway causing queues for up to 5KM’s and delays of up to 30 minutes.
Advice to take the Berowra exit had prevented delays from increasing further.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the crash. Both drivers are expected to be interviewed.
