MIDNIGHT BUSH FIRE UPDATE FOR Minmi / M1 (Bushfire Began 12:38pm today)
M1 Pacific Motorway (F3) Seahampton between George Booth Drive and John Renshaw Drive, Southbound lanes are open however Northbound is closed as the RFS are backburning along the M1. Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions as visibility is reduced. There are also some local road closures in the area for more information on local closures contact the local council. Northbound motorists are being diverted onto George Booth Drive. The diversion is suitable for all vehicles.
As a result of current burning conditions, this fire has been downgraded to Watch and Act. The fire remains uncontained.
The fire is burning in the area of Stockrington Road at Minmi, west of the M1 Motorway and is burning towards Minmi.
Crews are also working around homes in Stockrington Road, Dog Hole Road and Seahampton Road.
Residents in the area should continue to remain vigilant as conditions may be changing.
