An 18-year-old man and 20-year-old woman lead police on a pursuit that stretched 80km from Long Jetty to Killara.

Shortly before 9pm yesterday police were conducting stationary RBT on the Central Coast Highway at Long Jetty, when a blue Ford sedan allegedly failed to stop.

The vehicle reached speeds of up to 170km/h on the M1 Pacific Motorway.

A motorist who saw the initial chase drove through Killara and saw the car burnt out on the side of the Pacific Highway with a helicopter overhead and surrounded by Police Cars. Police confirmed the chase ended after the vehicle caught fire.

Two men and a woman ran from the car and were apprehended when police caught up.

The 20-year-old woman was charged for 3 outstanding warrants and will appear before Parramatta Local Court today.

This is the 2nd pursuit on the M1 Pacific Motorway, another man lead police on a chase on Sunday reaching speeds of up to 150km/h and he eventually crashed his vehicle into a cement barrier.
