Lots of people are trying to head North however the A1 Pacific Highway is closed near Taree. If you are driving to QLD and currently on the M1 take the inland route;

– M15 Hunter Expressway Exit (Towards Singleton)
– A15 New England Highway
– [15] Cunningham Highway (QLD)

If you are trying to access the North Coast of NSW you may want to delay travel.

There is no word on when roads will re-open as heavy rain continues to pour over some affected areas.
