EARLIER: The bushfire started on Tuesday around 11:30am between Bluehaven and Charmhaven on the Old Pacific Highway and quickly spread South West towards Arizona, Mona and Allinga Roads. The southerly change crossed the fireground and moved the fire north to Blue Haven and southern Wyee areas which closed the A43 Motorway Link Road & Wyee Road. A large ember attack impacted Birdwood Drive. Firefighters, supported by water bombing aircraft (including a Large Air Tanker (LAT)) worked to protect properties in the area. Motorists were advised to use the M1 Pacific Motorway or A49 Central Coast Highway Instead as they couldn’t drive on the Old Pacific Highway. Motorists could use our bushfire map to track the fire and joined the discussion on our Facebook page watch this video then Click here 1 and Click here 2 and and here 3 and Here 4. This fire was then downgraded to advice level while firefighters continued to to protect properties in the area and slow the spread of the fire. Thanks to hard work of the RFS the fire did not reach the M1
