QLD BORDER CONTROLS – The Queensland Government has implemented enhanced border control measures, including border passes and identification screening. Any person that has been in a declared COVID-19 hotspot during the past 14 days must not enter Queensland. From 1am Saturday 8 August, all local government areas in NSW and ACT will also be declared COVID-19 hotspots. Anyone attempting to enter Queensland from NSW at this 24/7 checkpoint must hold a valid Queensland Border Declaration Pass. Pass holders should allow plenty of additional travel time to cross the NSW-Queensland border, particularly during peak periods.
