[UPDATED] Throughout Friday there had been Northbound delays on the A1 Pacific Highway and A28 Pennant Hills Road approaching the M1 from Sydney, delays stretched through Gordon, Pymble, Turramurra, Wahroonga, Beecroft, Pennant Hills, Thornleigh and Normanhurst.

The M1 and A1 through Newcastle’s Western Suburbs also experienced delays of up to 20 minutes starting at Lenaghan through Tarro, Tomago and on to Heatherbrae.

The Far North Coast town of Woodburn suffered delays of up to 70 minutes on the A1 Pacific Highway. The Woodburn delays have reduced to 40 minutes at 4:08pm

The RMS advise that heavy traffic will continue until 7th January 2020.

Please remember to take regular breaks and double demerits are in force until 2nd January 2020.

Motorists should keep left unless you are overtaking another vehicle or a $344 penalty fine and 2 demerit points will apply.
